EEA is hosting a volunteer training for members of the community who want to learn more about horses and therapeutic riding.
We are located in the south valley of Albuquerque, a 20 minute drive from anywhere in the ABQ city limits.
We will learn care of the horses, including mucking, cleaning water barrels, filling hay nets, etc. We will also learn how to safely halter and lead a horse. We will go over round pen techniques too, but this will be reserved for volunteers with horse experience or some extra hours of training.
We have volunteer opportunities for everyone!! From fence mending to tack room design to horse leading to obstacle course construction to rock removal, we have it all!! Parents and kids, adults, teens, seniors, anybody willing to work hard and get dirty. ?❤️
This training will NOT include riding.
